Carbide grit/carbide

Carbide grit blades are designed to cut hard, brittle and fibrous materials. Bandsaw blades are available in continuous configurations and with notches between the blade teeth. Blades with notches between the teeth have greater flexibility, provide more penetration and have better fatigue strength than continuous blades; smaller bandsaw wheels will certainly provide longer life when equipped with blades with notches between the teeth. Finer grit means a better finish on very thin and brittle materials that are prone to cracking. Coarser grit will enable faster cutting for thicker materials and metal work.

Simmons offers tungsten carbide bandsaw blades for cutting extremely hard or rough materials. Featuring a design that provides greater resistance to heat generated when cutting high-temperature alloys.
